A hunting we will go!!, by Mr Murray

Date: 10th Mar 2017 @ 11:20pm

Animals and their habitats.

We are very lucky here at St Peter's to have a good outdoor space that has a varied ecosystem. Our woodland walk gave us chace to view birds nesting, funghi growing naturally and a variety of minibeasts hidden within the bark footpath.

Following from here we went into the allotments and school gardens. Here we got to see effectively where creatures may hide for shelter and safety.

The class made many observations throughout the lesson and could talk in good detail about what they found and the impact of their discoveries.

The bears came the next day to look for Goldilocks and they too ate some porridge and also a jam sandwich. The children wrote letters to Goldilocks and the Three bears and even made wanted posters for if Goldilocks ever came back. The reward was £20!!!! Unfortunately the Reception children haven't seen her since, but they have found clues such as a lock of her golden hair and some porridge outside....

The week finished with World Book day where the children came into school dressed as their favourite book character. We all had a fun day!
