Year 6 Leavers' Service

On Wednesday 13th June, the Year 6 children from St Peter’s Church of England Primary School attended the Leavers’ Service at Manchester Cathedral.

It was a wonderful morning in which the Right Reverend Mark Davies, Bishop of Middleton and Chair of the Diocesan warmly greeted the congregation. After this, there was a lovely speech from Cannon Maurice Smith CB, Diocesan Director of Education, all about the service and the message to pupils about how they will be moving on and using the values the children have learned to make positive contributions to their new schools.

The presentations given by pupils from other schools about ‘Peace’, ‘Courage’ and ‘Service’ allowed everybody to reflect on how these Christian Values can be applied to daily life.

As always, the children and staff look forward to the annual service where they can think fondly of the past and look to the future on their continuing journeys.

Who we are

We look to provide a safe, secure, stimulating Christian environment in which all our children feel happy and valued as individuals, and where they can learn and play to the best of their abilities, and therefore reach their full potential.
