The children were travelling at high speed, through a forest or over a lake, suspended and harnessed from an overhead cable - it was truly exhilarating!

The children had to navigate and explore a series of underground tunnels of different shapes and sizes whilst solving problems and carrying out tasks.

Raft Building
The children had to build a raft that would float (and hopefully steer) using the barrels, ropes and wood provided. Once they were built teh children had to test the raft out on the water.

The children had the oportunity to race round a purpose built, off-road motorsports tracks and develop their skills in safely! The children learnt how to operate a quad bike correctly.

A great way to explore the centre. We were given some practical map reading skills and then worked in small groups to locate control points around the centre grounds.

This is a giant size ladder that the children had to climb. The group had to use communication, teamwork and leadership skills together to have fun and scramble to the top of the ladder.

The children, got harnessed into a two seater swing as the rest of the group pulled the sing up to 10m high. The children then pulled a cord to send the swing hurtling down towards the ground before swinging up towards the sky.

On Wednesday 7th March, a lady from British Red Cross named Sandra came in to teach the Year 6 children about everyday First Aid. They made up some role plays to act out situations where everyday First Aid could be used. Some of these scenarios included: burns, head injuries and seizures. Finally they had a go at doing CPR on a dummy.

We enjoyed visiting Touchstones for an Ancient Greek workshop. We took part in a democracy and we even cast votes to say whether someone was guilty or not guilty.

In Computing lessons the children are in 5 teams, Each team is working on designing an app. Currently, the children are working on researching the market. In this lesson, each group asked a list of previously devised questions to the class in order to gather as much information about what their potential customers might be looking for.

As part of our English work which is focussing on stories from other cultures, we wrote our own playscript based on one of Sinbad the Sailor's many voyages. The children then performed their voyage to the rest of the class.
