Year 3 Tatton Park Trip
Lesson: History
Class: Year 3B Year: 2019 - 2020
What an amazing day Year 3 had when they went to Tatton Park on Friday 31st January 2020. The purpose of the visit was to consolidate the childrens History knowledge of our topics - StoneAge, Bronze Age and the Iron Age.
The children participated in 4 activities during the day - hunter gathering/ corn grinding, the use of different tools and the quality of the tools changed due to different materials being available at the time. We also looked at shelter building and weaponry, which was used then and some of them still in use today.
All in all it was a fabulous hands on experience for the children, who as always surpassed themselves with their knowledge of the topic and their attitude to wanting to learn even more!
