Jodrell Bank!, by Mr Jolly

On Wednesday 15th February, Year 5 travelled to Macclesfield to the site of Jodrell Bank, the 3rd largest working satellite in the world. At the time of opening, 60 years ago, it was the largest.

We had two workshops: Desitnation Space and Inflatable Planetarium. In the Destination Space one we looked at Tim Peake's mission and what astronauts get up to on the International Space Station. At the Inflatable Planetarium we went inside a huge bubble and saw what the sky was going to be like that evening as what we can see changes every night.
